Setting Description

Switch Name The name of the IntraSwitch 5308FL.

Switch Location The location of where the IntraSwitch

5308FL is physically located.

Switch Contact The name of the person responsible for

the IntraSwitch 5308FL.

ID/MAC Address The IntraSwitch 5308FL’s hardware

address.

IP Address The IntraSwitch 5308FL’s IP (Internet

Protocol) address.

Subnet Mask The address of the subnet to which the

IntraSwitch 5308FL belongs.

Default Router The IP address of the IntraSwitch

5308FL’s default gateway router.

Boot Load Mode The origin of the device boot image ﬁle

(a software ﬁle residing on hardware

required by the IntraSwitch 5308FL to

operate on the network).

Local — indicates the IntraSwitch

5308FL is set to load the image ﬁle from

its internal ﬂash memory (default

setting).

Remote — indicates the IntraSwitch

5308FL is set to download the image ﬁle

from a remote boot server on the

network.
